This is a scam operation started by one Melissa Brown in San Diego CA. Based on her own LinkedIn profile she had very little work experience and no prior business experience. as a result she started this scam preying on lonely hearts and people who have just suffered a break up and are still hurting. They will start off by promising you the moon. Get you to pay them a $2000 upfront fee for a dating service for 4-6 months where they promise you at least one perfect compatible match per month. You think well I am so busy with work, if they do the prelimiary work for me why not. Then you give them a detailed account of what you are looking for and what you are not looking for. They pretend to take notes. Then they set you up on a date with a person that they claim to be exactly what you are looking for, but no pictures. You arrive at the date location only to find out the person is not what they said , in terms of looks, qualification, marital status (they are not even single) and geography (not within your geographical preference)in fact someone you would never give a second look to in real life. When you return from this disaster meeting and report to your dating director he or she will feign innocence and start passing the buck. Then they will say that date will be counted as one of the dates you pay for. Too bad they didnt match your criteria but if you write them a good review they will match you up with a better person. So not only do they fail to deliver on what they sold you (the service you bought) they even coerce you into writing good reviews. Obviously no sane or intelligent individual would ever renew their subscription after they have been robbed blind by these scammers they still try to call you relentlessly at your office, at your home, on your cell day and night trying to renew the service with them By then you have changed your credit card number after being ripped off for $1500-2000 and you are about to block their phone number. They will then call you from different area codes (Florida, New York) to mask their identity. Are you wondering WHY they are still in business ? Not for long dear consumers, not for long. Once you file a complaint in the right place, with enough complaints they will be forced to refund you their fee that they scammed out of you. Hold on to your credit card receipt. They have been forced to do that once before. This is all public information. Read below and file your complaint against It's just Lunch and its founder Melissa Brown.

Your best bet in seeking a refund is probably the New York Attorney General's office. Don't worry - They are familiar with It's Just Lunch, who they sued in 2007. See:

In summary, I would not recommend It’s Just Lunch to a friend.
