I have joined IJL4 (the San Diego franchise) 3 times. Yes, that's right. The 1st and 2nd times were pretty good. I didn't meet the love of my life but I went out on some decent dates.
I was about halfway through my 2nd membership and they called me up asking about the Elite Service. It was pricey but I fell for the hype anyway. Big mistake! The matchmakers were useless. They didn't do even half of what they promised. I didn't go on one date for the 1st 2 months of a 6-month contract. They sent me on two dates (one was OK and one was lousy) and then I called up to complain (again). I find out that the local franchise is out of business and the corporate office will be handling me. Things did not get better when the franchise took over. I went out on one lousy date and then they told me that my contract was up. I didn't get a fraction of what I paid for. They told me they would give me one more date but that's still not nearly what I was expecting.
DO NOT sign up with these guys. Both corporate and the San Diego franchise suck!
Does anyone know how to get a hold of them? I'd like to take them to small claims court but I don't even know who to sue cuz IJL4 is out of business.
In summary, I would not recommend It’s Just Lunch to a friend.
